Joe Gazzam,

and author!

I am excited, maybe even, Thee, most excited I’ve ever been about featuring a fellow author on my blog. Joe Gazzam has so much experience in the screen writing world. His talent is endless. With a resume of 21 Jump Street and Step Up and many others, Joe has finally taken the leap across the pen line and written his debut novel. UNCAGED, released just days ago has already attracted a great readership in this genre. Just check out the reviews the book has already accrued. ‘It reads like a movie,’ ‘Well researched and written,’ ‘An education.’

Based on politics and crime, Jason Holden finds himself in prison. What did he do? He’s a troubled teen with a father who not only is the State Governor, but also wants to re-educate his son and enters him into the ‘Scared straight’ programme. Jason finds himself mixed in with the worst criminals and when a full-out jailbreak takes place, Jason has no choice but to rely on an unlikely convict.

Screenwriter/Novelist Joe Gazzam was born in Baltimore, MD, grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL and graduated from the University of Florida.  Soon after college he moved to Los Angeles with one script under his arm, never having been to California in his life.

Since then, due to good luck and the support of friends and family, he’s been a working screenwriter for 8 years.  Joe has worked on such films as:

21 Jump Street
Step Up: Revolution
Disney’s Hawaiian Adventure
It Takes a Thief
Anubis Tapestry
(and many more)

He is repped by Harley Copen of ICM and managed by Ava Jamshidi of Industry Entertainment.  His debut novel, UNCAGED, was released on Oct. 22, 2013!

He currently lives in Southern California with his wife and son.
